The hotel and restaurant Kiekenstein impressed with their very attentive service, a very large selection of dishes, very delicious food and large portions this evening. In addition, there is an atmospheric evening on the terrace with a full moon and a view of Holzminden at night.

Wonderful view and, thanks to the great food, now always a great place for us to stay on our motorcycle tours.

The restaurant impresses with excellent cuisine, a very good selection and changing offers. The staff is attentive and courteous. There is also a special children's card with the possibility of coloring in. All plates are served nicely arranged. Really highly recommended I subtract one star because the restaurant could be designed a little fresher, it looks a bit old. However, this does not detract from the visit.

We've been to dinner with them several times, but this time it will be the last time. It took 20 minutes for the staff to guide us to the reserved space, which was on the upper part of the terrace, where the distances were not observed at all. One had the feeling that the main thing was that sales were right. About the meal: If a four-person table ordered food, they usually wanted to eat together, because the dishes did not leave the kitchen together. The food was sometimes lukewarm, fried potatoes were not fresh and lay in the oil, one dessert was inedible, but was swapped for a new one without hesitation. It was positive that the waiter tried to save the situation somewhat. Overall, the setting and the price / performance are not right. We are disappointed!

On our bike tour from Nuremberg to Cuxhaven we looked for a place to stay near Holzminden. We came across the Hotel Kiekenstein on the other side of the Weser. The hotel has nice rooms, offers a good breakfast and the restaurant is also highly recommended, especially in the evening with a wonderful view of Holzminden and down into the Weser meadows.

Top location with the most beautiful views of the Weser and Kiekenstein mountains. I was only in the restaurant. The best thing to do is to sit outside between beautifully blooming roses. The food tasted very good. I enjoyed the venison as recommended: Lots of game meat with vegetables, bread and delicious sauce. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very nice atmosphere, can only recommend.

In the summer eaten in the restaurant, mega nice view outside and very very friendly service. The food was fantastic and they were very flexible with adjusting the meal and didn't even charge for it. If I could give more stars, I would have done this.

The hotel is getting a bit old. The mattresses should be replaced. The rooms are spartan. The shower water takes a long time to get warm. The service is very friendly and attentive. The kitchen tries very hard to arrange the dishes nicely. In terms of taste, everything is very good. You have a beautiful view of the Weser from the terrace. It's worth a visit.

A house that really fits the times. Modern rooms, everything very clean and tidy, the bathroom fresh, the bed perfect. What more do you want on a business trip. The restaurant was closed in the afternoon of my arrival, but a meal was prepared that was delicious and very extensive. Very good service. The breakfast the next morning left nothing to be desired, just perfect. WiFi is available and free of charge. Parking spaces are available directly at the house. A really recommendable hotel, I would also like to spend a few days here privately.

A nice, small hotel on the banks of the Weser. From the dining room or from the terrace a nice view of the river. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The rooms are small, but very functional; only on the upper floor disturbs the ceiling slope something: You have to move your head while showering. It is very clean. The breakfast buffet was during my stay only small (because only a few guests were there), but extremely appetizing and tasty. Large free parking directly at the house. Gladly again.
